There is more to the body than fingers and toes.
We are more than animals wearing clothes.
Our bodies are more than corpses
that have yet to decompose.
We are not just walking collections
of bones and organs and microbes.
Some people ignore what’s right under their nose.
Listen, and the body will tell what it knows.
Bodies don’t want to be arranged in rows.
Why sit still when everything flows?
Some people see their bodies as objects,
But that’s not the path I chose.
These bodies are spiritual beings,
And when you know this, it shows.
To ignore it is to hold an unnatural pose.
I’m sure it must hurt to let the heart close.
